In the summer of 2021, the UK was finally starting to emerge from Covid restrictions – with the nation’s mental health at an all-time low and people’s disposable income severely hit by a prolonged period of economic uncertainty.
It was exactly at this challenging time that Ben, the automotive industry charity, turned to Drive to take over its full PR provision - becoming responsible for raising awareness of Ben in the automotive world, managing the charity’s press office and creating engaging content that would inspire people to support the charity, but also inform the automotive community about the help that Ben offers to those who work, or have worked, in the industry.
During a 12-month period, Drive worked with Ben’s in-house fundraising and health & wellbeing teams to deliver a full and varied content programme comprising everything from product launches to fundraising events, wellbeing insight to corporate outreach programmes.
Having forged strong relationships with editors across the automotive industry press, we secured close to 300 pieces of coverage between August 2021 – September 2022, reaching 3,300,600 people – and achieving an equivalent advertising value of £194,260.38.
